Scientists: Coca-Cola and Pepsi can cause cancer

In this artificial dyes contained two carcinogenic chemical compounds. This dye is obtained by the reaction of sugar with ammonia and sulfites under high pressure and high temperatures. As a result of chemical interaction between two substances are formed: 2-MI and 4-MI. It is they who are guilty of lung cancer, liver, thyroid and leukemia, which proved in laboratory experiments with rodents.
Scientists from the University of California, found a significant content of 4-MI in five brands of cola. Director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest Michael F. Jacobson made an appeal to state representatives to take action. Coca-Cola Company and Pepsi had no immediate comment on the statement.
